Interview
I was applying for my second job (age 17) because I was intending to leave my position at six flags, which had a bad enviorment as well as an incompotent HR department. (Not to mention that it only paid minimum wage, which is about $7.25 around here) About one month after appling online, I recieved a phone call from Wegmans employment office, in order to schedule a phone interview. About three days later I had the phone interview, and they told that I would hear something of my employment in about 2 to 4 weeks. However, the next day, I was called in for a formal interview. The atmosphere was nice, and the interview was conducted in a calm and relaxing enviorment. after the interview, which took about 20 minutes, I was called into the waiting room. 5 minutes later, I was called back and the interviewer (in a soft tone voice) offered me the job. During the interview, I made constant refrences as to my experience in the field of food service, as well as throwing around some of my knowlede of food service, such as telling them that poultry must be prepared at a temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Basically I would say to just sell yourself, and to do research on the company in order to prepared to answer some questions such as why you would like to work, as well as why you chose that company. If you do that and come dressed in interview attire, than you will without a doubt get the job offer. One more tip I would say after that is to do research on the average pay for the position you are looking for and use it as a base to negotiate your pay. If you think you deserve more than the average, than prepare to explain how your qualifications and skills are worth the pay raise. For anyone who doesn't know, this company is in a very good financial standing, plus it pays above minimum wage for all positions so at the very least expect to be paid (or request to be paid) at least $8 an hour.

Interview
I first applied for the position online in January 2010. In about 2 months (March) i recieved a phone call from there receptionist saying that i would be recieving a phone interview. The phone interview took about 35 minutes; it consisted of questions from why are you applying at wegamns to what are your career goals. I actually had a little cheat sheet with the most popular responses so it went very well. In April i recieved my second phone call, and confirmed for a 1 on 1 interview with the stores customer service team leader. That was a absolute disaster and was not my best interview because they asked one question that threw me completely off; How do you feel about food safety? I made the weirdest face and said i like good clean food! that was the worst response i have ever given but the rest of the questions were basically the same as the first interview so i kept my answers similar but not completely the same because its reccomended that you switch them up. My 3rd interview was in June and it was with the stores actual manager. Once again similar questions. I recieved my last call in July and they want me back for a 4th time and im meeting the Human resorces manager so hopefully that means i got the job. Good luck everyone

Interview
Just looking to add to my income by working some nights.l have a high powered job during the day and wanted to try something different. I am well over quilified for this position howvever I have plenty of free time at night and wanted to meet some different people. First a phone interview, second an interview with the recruiter that basically read off a sheet and offered no eye contact. Then 4 weeks later received a call asking to come in the next day to meet the deptartment manager. Job has been vacant for over 2 months and is still wating for the right canidate. Still waiting for a call to see if they want me. The job is brainless, just stocking shelves. Interviewing for the FBI would be easier. The interview said I would here something back within a week. Well it has been 4 days and no call as of yet. I do not understand why this company is top rated to work for.
