Pros

Good people at all levels of management. Great amount of exposure to all kinds of different projects. Global footprint allows for ability to relocate relatively easily

Cons

Unbelievably bureaucratic Management reporting structure. Unrealistic utilization goals that are calculated weekly. IT is outsourced with very little immediate or onsite support.

7th Worst Company in US by Yahoo Ranking Spot On

Pros

Some good, talented people. Benefits and salary are probably on lower range of average for industry. Multiple office locations across world.

Cons

A case study in how not to run a company or manage people. Appalling that senior managers all the way to the top are paid so well for total ineptness. The Peter principle thrives. Yahoo ranked as 7th worst US company in 2015, but they are striving for first place in 2016, and they are on track to meet that goal. Accountants run every aspect of operations, and the dogmatic focus is increased profitability. Clients are viewed as enemies or rubes to be taken advantage of, and subcontractors and vendors are treated like dogs.

Pros

Ability to come in late and no one cares Ability to leave early and no one cares Ability to charge full time to projects despite not working, and on one cares

Cons

The atmosphere in the open office environment is like being in a sweat shop/prison. I heard someone refer to it as concentration camp - and that was spot on. I dread going to work every day. There is a thing here. We call it AECOM depression, and just about everyone has it. The worse news is that URS took over little brained aecom. There are no managers from aecom anymore, they were replaced with URS. The corporate policies all went the way of URS too. Like stealing the 401k match. People are actually too depressed to care that the 401k policy alone means you stay in this prison for 5 more years before you can afford to retire.
