Pros

Flexible schedules, ability to work from home or remotely sometimes.

Cons

Abysmal health insurance, only marginally better than what is available on the health insurance marketplace. Shocking for such a large firm.

Pros

I met some really great people there.

Cons

Everything. The management is weak. Communication lacks. They are completely all about revenue and not at all about employees. I was told when asking about a raise "employees can be easily replaced" and that I should just continue to quietly work.

Pros

AECOM has a large presence globally and has many offices to allow transfers if you're interested. Large workforce can allow an employee to meet many professionals and an opportunity to learn.

Cons

IT support has been farmed out and very clunky. Slow to react and difficult to get help. Legal department seems to impose restrictions to protect company on proposals but this often disqualifies the submission. Publicly traded company so very bottom line driven and seems like there is no budget to send employees for training or conferences. Office consolidation due to many recent company acquisitions have given some offices uncertainties. Purchasing software or hardware is horrendous. Specialty software can take months and months to acquire. Deliver to Win program is an incentive to give a bonus to management who deliver a project under budget and on schedule. However it only pays upper managers and not the staff who actually do the heavy lifting. It is nicknamed Deliver to One.
