      Pros

      The benefits are good. Pay is reasonable. Project opportunities can help new employees to gain some good experience.. Many employees have good skills and are a pleasure to work with.

      Cons

      Upper management needs a major overhaul. Micro-management and layoffs are commonplace. Mid-level managers are afraid to think and act for themselves. Real leadership is largely unknown. Entrepreneurship is discouraged. Trust is nearly non-existent. Employee motivation is largely through fear.

      My second career experience where a larger international company bought a small but well established and well respected engineering firm. Thought the result would be different. Silly me,

      in my opinion, very dysfunctional.Integration,communication and business plan are a mess. And the best and brightest are gone.
