Pros
Flexible schedule, Opportunities to manage multiple types of projects from small to very large and complex. Very smart people and high quality people if you know how to work well with others and build relationships. You find the 'good' people by working to find them not waiting for it to happen.
Cons
Weak matrix organization so you have to really work hard on communication and commitments. Very stressful but challenging environment. Management changes often. You have to be able to adapt to change quickly. You can get buried in the flow, but you can also make the flow happen more efficiently and be an asset if you are driven and positive.
