Advancement opportunities are hard to come by, and employees are often required to perform tasks and take on responsibilities of higher positions without receiving the appropriate title or compensation in return. Individual workload can often be excessive, and many positions unofficially require employees to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays in order to meet unreasonable deadlines, for which no compensation is provided. Salaries have been stagnant for several years, with the introduction of a new (not guaranteed) short-term incentive that has effectively halted proper salary increases. In many areas, reorganization occurs on a very frequent basis, which makes it difficult to effectively raise long-term concerns due to constantly changing reporting lines.
