      Good place to do life insurance.

      Pros

      Good products, good management. Plenty of opportunities to make money and move into management, if that's desired.

      Cons

      After a period of weeks, went to straight commission and bonuses. But at least the first few weeks were NOT a draw, and would not have to be paid back if it didn't work out.

      Pros

      Good paying company, with decent work life balance. In some specific product lines there is a lot you can learn. There is a lot you can learn from an international management perspective due to AIG's matrix structure.

      Cons

      Very slow moving company in terms of decision making. Completely not conducive for young employees. The org structure is archaic, and simply not conducive to innovation, rapid responses to market changes - too many approvals required, very archaic IT department etc.
