Pros

401K Benefits, No manager works past 5pm

Cons

Whoever said dinosaurs are extinct hasn't worked at AIG. Senior management is filled with people with out of date skill sets and they are being paid way more than for doing almost next to nothing. Career prospects are next to nothing, Most of good talent has already departed in the last 2years and you can imagine what kind of work environment is created by the remaining. Hiring is driven solely based on who know whom and not on merit. Technology is from early 2010s. which in today's world is ancient.

Pros

flexibility, PTO, co-workers, diversity (except need more), corporate citizenship (volunteer time off and support on charities)

Cons

no stability, management has no insight into what is actually happening in the field. I was part of a customer/broker facing group that was totally eliminated. Another higher level co-worker told me that the decision was made by someone that had no idea the group was externally facing. And sometimes the only place a customer or broker could go to get help. The decision was apparently seen as a mistake.....I feel for my clients. Benefits were OK - but the pay was not competitive. Little to no raises and definitely no promotions. Constant change and constant (and real) threat of losing your job - and not because of performance.

Pros

31 days of vacation would be a pro. The position isn’t actually difficult. If you wanted to keep your job and had to move you could potentially work remotely.

Cons

Huge disconnect in management. My manager won’t take my calls most of the time. Passive aggressive emails is how they mainly communicate.
