Pros

You had opportunities to advance within the company, if at least you knew the right person to talk to. The pay, as in most financial sector businesses, is pretty good considering the job.

Cons

There were a lot of people who took themselves very seriously. That's not my type of thing and my personal opinion, but there were other downsides. Within the company there was a lack of cooperation or willingness between teams (eg, between certain claim handling teams and the front desk or contact team). Sometimes I felt there was nepotism going on. The atmosphere was not great either, it felt like saying hello and chatting to people was a facade.

Pros

Great work environment as well as coworkers. Able to shadow multiple financial advisors in the region. Able to attend regional advisor trip. Management is helpful and understanding.

Cons

Work can at times be repetitive. "Intern work"/busy work can be given at times.
