Pros

Generous PTO, maternity & paternity leave, 6% 401k match, Pension plan of 3% 401k contribution.

Cons

No career path, constant layoffs, no raises, no reviews, poor communication from leadership, poor training, constant management changes, low pay, unmanageable work load, poor management plans for work and system transitions. There is no consistent plan and direction changes daily. Benefits are used to recruit but that is the only reason to work here.

Pros

Solid place for college grads to start off with Insurance Academy Strong environment to learn the fundamentals Expansive portfolio guarantees you see some of the largest clients Working with other proven and talented employees Good benefits (24 days PTO, 100% match up to 6% 401k and 3% on top, work from home flexibility)

Cons

Constant structural changes before results can ever be realized Clear distinction between executive management and rest Always hire senior roles from outside the organization, and no real path for growth Compensation slightly below average comparing colleagues and peers NO ANNUAL PAY INCREASES. None. Zero. May review your pay once in 3 years and no guarantee it changes from there. Expenses are always in jeopardy so layoffs/cuts are ongoing. Told to do more with less and roles not back-filled.

Pros

Super benefits, 401K with company match, health, life, ample amount of paid time off for employees with 5+ years, work remotely 1/2 the week, and I know I add value to the org every day.

Cons

There is a lot of talk about work life balance here, and there has been for years, but they are just buzzwords here. Employees are consistently asked to more with less people and in less time. Unrealistic expectations around delivery dates come from top leadership and flow down to middle management, and then out to each employee. Eventually, there is no one left to delegate the work to, so those employees miss dinner with the fam, their son’s baseball games, or every doctor appointment they know they need to schedule, but who has the time for that? Not the guy on his laptop that is working during the baseball game instead of enjoying it.
