Pros

High turn over rate. You can be fired for nothing. Pallets are exowcted to be done in 30 minutes and if not you can be fired. You will train your replacement

Cons

They have bad attitudes and poor management. The 401k is a big scam. What you put in according to your paystub is not what T Rowe has on file. This company has no regards for their workers. They can fire you and not have a reason and will try and have you sign a letter of resignation (I left on my own account). Poor working conditions I almost slipped and broke my neck on milk spilled from a another employee in the cooler. Unsafe work areas and to be honest the way the meat and frozen items are worked are unhealthy. Frozen items are pulled out for long periods of time they start defrosting and is put back in freezer. They do not get health inspections because they claim to be private. The prices are great but the food handling and the rotation process are not safe. As well you dont get a raise until your second year. Everything they tell you at welcome day is a lie. This company can count on one hand how many 10 year employees they have or have had.

Pros

Aldi is a stable employer that has good benefits. I have worked at a number of different stores over the years and there is a big difference in individual store management. A good store manager who has a good team can make the difference between a good experience and a bad one.

Cons

In the past a lot was expected of all employees - now much less is expected of new employees and the people who have been around for years are expected to make up for that fact. Aldi used to pay more then minimum wage which made the fact that they expected much more then other places acceptable. With the minimum wage going up it is becoming increasingly hard for Aldi to sustain their business model of expecting so much more of their employees then other similar places. Aldi stores have a very limited staff that is expected to perform miracles in keeping the store looking good, stocking and keeping the store stocked, fast customer checkout along with many other duties. This is getting harder and harder to do as long term employees are leaving and new people coming in do not have the same work ethic.
