      Pros

      Fast moving, constant learning, and many good people. Leadership has worked hard to make the company successful during a tough time in telecommunications. Job opportunities are available across the country if you are flexible. Great Benefits. The company has so many training tools available from which you can take advantage if you have the intiative and can fit them in. There is always something new to learn on the job.

      Cons

      Some managers have bad attitudes and I have no idea why they stay. There aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. Often socializing and networking is difficult to fit in to regular business hours.

      Pros

      Name recognition. Really, that's about it! Since AT&T has merged with BellSouth, the only good thing about working for AT&T is that you can name drop at cocktail parties and sound official. Other than that, there's not much else good going on there.

      Cons

      There are lots of contractors that work for AT&T since the merger, and very few of them will ever be promoted to employees as AT&T seeks to reshape its cost structure in this turbulent economy. Senior management dictates their demands to the front line people, and the morale overall is very low. Low morale usually means low performance and efficiency, so AT&T has basically created a culture of negative reinforcement buttressed by threats of job loss and pay cuts.

      AT&T is Local company with major benefits.

      Cons

      AT&T sometimes offers golden handshakes every year. So every year you have to hope and pray your department is not downsized. After hearing from others the packages are good though.
