      AT&T...A paycheck? Yes. A place to have a career? NO!

      Pros

      Jobs are abundant within its retail side.

      Cons

      I see very little opportunity to move up within the company. You have to stay in position a year before you're even considered for another position. But with all the reasons to get written up, its as if the company wants to keep people stuck in retail or fire them. There is absolutely NO reason to strive for an assistant manager position. The company will keep you in that position for about 4 years before you can move to store manager. All that time, the people you are in charge of ( sales reps) will make more money than you with much less responsibility.

      Pros

      Att offers a better than decent salary, you have the opportunity to join the union which honestly is a waste of money every two weeks. You recieve a raise every 6 months until your income caps out at a specfic level. the benefits are great but youll have to wait 6 months to recieve them.

      Cons

      The enviorment of the center is strictly sales. On paper this company says that they care about there employees not to mention the customers i have viewed this to be otherwise. There is no such thing as sick time with this company if your sick you'd better suck it up and go to work. you have roughly 4 chances to be disciplined at which the have the right to walk you out the door.

      Pros

      AT&T offers its employees GREAT benefits both monetary and non monetary. AT&T is one of the worlds most recognizable companies and a compnay to be proud to be apart of. AT&T and its mid level management are quick to give recognition for hard work and a job well done. While AT&T has thousands of teams working on different issues on different parts of the company I love the team I work with and enjoy my time with them. I am fortunate to say I work with friends and not just collegues. While AT&T may not be the perfect company to work for it is better then most.

      Cons

      Sometimes fell trapped as opportunities for advancement seem non exsistant.
