Pros

The coworkers were great. Superb teamwork and challenging atmosphere.

Cons

Corporate more focused on the stock holders and profits than on the customer experience. Was with the telco from the SBC days. Saw it happen over and over with the current upper management. Once a position was sufficiently documented that it could be operated as a look up cookbook, the employees were "surplussed" and the job was sent overseas. I lost many friends and felt lucky to survive several cycles by switching positions. Eventually, I became too expensive or had too many years (nearing retirement age) and finally got the axe. Every medium to low level "management" IT employee works while staring at that elephant in the room.
