Pros

Great benefits, compared to other places in this area of Florida. Average to good starting pay, and regular step advances you can count on. Good group of co-workers who share your misery. Great way to stay up-to-date on wireless technology.

Cons

No choice for your days and hours for the first year at least, maybe longer. You WILL be working Saturdays. Upper Management, including Area Managers seem unaware of what the CSR goes thru on a daily basis; your immediate supervisor may have been a rep first, so they will be a little more sympathetic. But ultimately, they will have to answer to their managers, so expect to be written up for any little thing. Strict absenteeism policy--too bad if you have sick kids / spouse--12 points (full days absent) in a yr, and you are gone.

Pros

Decent pay and job security thanks to union.

Cons

There's a reason this company never makes it on the Fortune 100 best places to work. Current Taylor-ism mindset of time/motion studies, emailing daily performance numbers, recording work down to the minute and micromanagement will lead to greater talent drain and demoralized workforce. Benefits continue to erode. Employees moved to a High-Deductible Rate Plan that more than doubled deductible and out-of-pocket max as well as requiring a new monthly contribution. Emergency room coverage all but eliminated. Retirees treated poorly.

Pros

You do get paid on time, it is a union position, although the CWA is generally rather weak, partly due to the apathy of the members, partially due to the weak contracts they've negotiated. Benefits are ok.

Cons

This is an absolutely terrible, confused, mess of a company, that shows zero respect to they're employees. Our lower level managers are just as fed-up as the employees with the company's utter disrespect for it's customers & employees alike. The company is obsessed with it's quarterly earnings, and NOTHING ELSE! Yes, it used to be a great place to work, not anymore. If you are looking at taking a position with this company, be prepared to sell your soul to it.
