Pros

- you can receive all the training you need to achieve your work efficiently as long as you dig deep enough to find what is relevant to you and you have enough courage to ask for it. If you wait for somebody else to manage your career you will be very frustrated. - it's relatively easy to find an assignment on large IT transformation programs (Accenture targets mainly strategic projects for Global Fortune 1000). If you are curious enough to look over your shoulder and get the whole picture, you're getting an effective training as a VP or even as a CIO for a large company. - the pay is as good as you manage it to be. It's up to you to define clear objectives with your supervisor, to discuss with your career counselor what will make you advance in your career, to change your career counselor if needed and to work your way up in the organization. - you have the freedom to be a number or to be recognized for something either at project level, regional level or even globally. If you don't produce anything, do not participate to anything, do not lead anything, it's really unfair to expect something to happen. And yes, you have the opportunity to do all those things at Accenture. - this is the number one organization in terms of system integration. period.

Cons

- travel and hours can be extensive, but honestly, you signed for it. - it seems to be easier to progress when you are successful on large diamond projects than on projects for smaller clients. Reporting also to a vocal supervisor willing to support you will give you an edge over people who depends on non type A supervisors and career counselors.

Pros

Good recruitment process, although I was expected to do technical work even though I was hired as business consultant. Company is growing. Prestigious company. Brand recognition.

Cons

Expect to work long hours There is not a sense of organizational culture. Project managers expect consultants to do work they were not hired to do. Analysts and consultants expect to be hired as contractors.
