Cons

There is an HR reaction to a review published for Allianz Care (which is Allianz Partners, Dublin offices). In that reaction, HR is calling the review "divisive" because it is mentioning how employees are divided into two groups: foreigners and native Irish. While I don't agree with the language of the reviewer, I must agree with one thing; Yes, this company is split due to extremely poor ethos. Locals are often promoted based on their family/relationship ties to management. Everybody knows about it. I've spent almost eight years working for this company, and I am Irish too, but I don't look it by appearances, and it always counted. I strived towards perfection at work, and I gave the company my best. Still, anytime it came to promotion, somebody with ties to the management was promoted. HR always gave me a very general and inadequate explanation. Many of my colleagues who no longer work for this company were leaving either depressed (literally) or exhausted. When you have a family and must pay your bills "stuck" is what you will feel in this place — no fairness and very often no professionalism. There is only one thing I regret, and that is: For a long time I trusted the HR and my manager. I shouldn't have. I should have moved on with my carrier. I just did and so I am leaving a word here for those who are considering joining. It is not worth it. Oh wait, they just got the Unions in! Congratulations to HR on their success in managing human 'resources'.

Pros

I have worked for a number of years in Allianz and in a number of companies before Allianz. I find it a great place to work, with great learning and development opportunities, great people and a great environment. The reason I felt the need to write this review is because I've seen some of the comments on here and I think it's nothing short of bullying. The comments seem to be directed at a few people (mostly managers) and I think it's really unfair and just plain mean. How is it OK to hurt people like that? Nobody really likes their manager (lol) but that doesn't stop most people getting on and doing a good job - just respect each other and get on with the task at hand. I note that many comments are left by people that still work in Allianz. If you hate it that much then why not leave? If the culture isn't for you then find somewhere that's a fit for you - like everybody else does in their working life! It would turn someone away to read all these comments and I can honestly say that they do not reflect my experience of working with this company. I think management are generally open and listen to concerns and do try to address them. I think generally speaking they try hard to do a good job. I've raised stuff in the past I do believe they tried to make things better. I understand that everyone's experience is different (and different departments have different sub-cultures) but as I said, if you don't like it then don't stay. Why stay and come onto an anonymous site to complain and moan about it - how is that going to help anyone? Why not have an open and honest conversation with your manager or their manager or HR? I know I'm on a bit of a rant here but it really annoys me when people moan over every little thing and how companies aren't living up to their expectations.... my expectation is that I turn up, do a good job, get paid and go home! I expect nothing more - and that fact that Allianz provides more (like Sports and Social clubs, health and well-being programs, paid insurance, EAP etc etc...) is just a bonus, and a good bonus at that! I'd say the problem with half the ones complaining on here is that they aren't doing a good job - maybe that's why your manager and/or colleagues aren't so happy with you... ever think of that? FYI I don't work for HR - clearly as I'm sure I wouldn't be allowed say half of that if I did... :-)

Cons

The location might be an issue for some people as public transport is only OK to the area but I always laugh when I hear people complaining about it... as if they didn't know where they came for an interview. But something to consider if you're thinking of moving to Allianz and don't have a car.

Pros

Health insurance Car insurance Pension On site massages Health and wellbeing talks Monthly fruit drops Flexible hours Lenght of service bonus Exams bonus Monthly bonus Work from home Smart casual dress code Easy reachable targets I have been working here more than three years, i would NOT be still here if the company was as bad as some people make out. Unfortunately some teams have stagnant team members who appear in the same roles a number of years as a result bad mouth the company to new starters. The level of whining is incredible from negative colleagues . No one likes to be around negative people, if you are that unhappy leave you are replaceable with nice positive people see were else will employee you with a bad attitude. There are plently of opportunities to progress within the company but having a bad attitude you will not go far and why would you when there are people who go above and beyond each day for their own job satisfaction . To the last post you stated all trained team leaders left the company , two teamleaders left but were replaced with very experienced teamleaders who are very techincal and well capable for the job i personally find all teamleaders and management very approachable and very fair. All teamleaders go above and beyond to help colleagues, what more would you like from the company . Positive changes happened within the last year as a result of the AES the company do listen to our ideas and do try accommodate the requests . Personally i am very happy in my role . Yes you can be changed to different teams but people forget you are employeed as a claims officer all roles are the same its just different product you process.

Cons

As it is such a large company yes communication can be a small issue but what company is prefect at this .
