Pros

Hard work and fair pay. Great exercise in a fun and competitive environment. Lots of opportunities to learn new job skills and areas if you apply yourself.

Cons

They do little to nothing to recognize excellence, education or experience but are quick to point out faults or fire anyone who underperforms even one time or steps out of line. They higher a lot of green managers with meaningless degrees and zero experience and rarely promote qualified and proven existing employees. You are better off joining Amazon through a college job fair than proving yourself through your work efforts.

Pros

- great benefits - great form of exercise - decent coworkers

Cons

- Poor management, especially at the Ops level - HR is clueless about policy and you will get different answers from different HR reps. - No job security - Favoritism - Managers and Supervisors sleeping with their associates - Managers spend more time on their laptops than interacting with their associates. - A lot of Managers do nothing, i've had an AM who was showing Tier 1s pictures of his house and holiday pictures from facebook while I had to run around trying to keep the department together. - You do not get paid your worth. - No work life balance.

Pros

Great benefits including 401k match, health insurance, employee discount, monthly bonus, and decent vacation accrual.

Cons

Although there is room for growth expect to relocate to do so. Developed areas make climbing the ladder difficult. Very political just like any business so be ready to play the game. If you can put up with the constant inconsistencies @ Amazon then it's not a bad place to work. It will depend on the team you land on.
