Pros

The interview process is rigorous but provides an excellent foundation for what you need to know Day 1 -- that the leadership principles are REAL and there is an expectation that everyone remain laser-focused on these ideals. In every meeting -- internal and external -- you will hear people talk about things like customer obsession, bias for action and invent and simply. So, there is a method to the madness as the Amazon culture is truly unique.

Cons

You need to be self-driven and motivated to learn to be successful at AWS. It's key that you take the Learn & Be Curious principle to heart. I find that my onboarding buddies are helpful, but their approach is truly hands-off. If you're new hire you must lean in and ask for what you need. There is no hand-holding.

Pros

Great work life balance, the work is fulfilling and the office is well supplied

Cons

The majority of management (mostly team leads) are particularly unfriendly. Through-out the majority of my time there whilst having to interact with TL's has been an overall unfriendly and unpleasant experience. I almost regret leaving my old job for this one

Pros

The company provides a clear training curriculum and allows for sufficient ramp up time before holding you accountable to individual goals. Experience has been great so far!

Cons

Somewhat ambiguous on timeline / how I'm doing so far.
