Pros

Personally, I really like the "peculiar" culture. A lot of it makes a great deal of sense to me, and it leads to a fairly smooth decision making process. I have yet to witness any significant office politics and conflict. The culture gives powerful mechanisms for avoiding such things. Internally, the culture encourages challenging things you see issues with, as long as you have solutions. But externally it is quite regimented with a strict message required for the outside world, so you need to be comfortable with that. The compensation is good, although with half of it ultimately coming from stock options, it's heavily dependent on the success of the company and the market in general. You are respected for your skills and knowledge as soon as you join.

Cons

The two-pizza team can make the internals of the organisation chaotic; with 1.5 million employees in teams of only ~10 people, finding the right person to talk to can be very difficult, and it can be sometimes unclear how your job differs from someone else in a different team. It's hard work, you need to be very self disciplined on the use of your time, especially if working from home; work-life balance is hard to strike.
