Terrible place to work

Business Outlook

Pros

The pay is very good.

Cons

Management is condescending and disrespectful even to highly experienced and educated staff, under the guise of “constant improvement”. Poor work life balance. Attempts to report dissatisfaction with the workplace were met with response akin to “it’s not illegal to be an as*hole”.

Pros

Good Culture Lots of Opportunities Was a fun place to work while it latest.

Cons

Work dried up from January 2023 to March 2023 and layoffs happened. I was part of those layoffs even though I landed a project in April. Management is slow to respond to change.

Pros

Industry leading cloud services Wide product offering

Cons

Terrible work culture which does not offer employee learning or training. Amazon expects employees to learn everything themselves. Zero leadership and constant team restructuring. Very little progression for such a wide company. They prefer to keep talented employees locked in their job role and hire externally to fill the promotion gaps.
