Pros

Left a steady position and ended up in a no win training class with little support. Continuous technical issues the trainers refused to fix. I was released onto a call center with little hands on experience then received little to no help once out there. They cared more about a 3 minute hold than to check if I was ok with little hands on.

Cons

Lack of support from trainers with technical issues. My banking platform has issues for weeks until I was released on the floor, Ridiculous!Their banking infrastructure is not ready. You were moved along ready or not then left to fend for yourself with no support. I would never abandon anyone new or treat them the way Kenn Moise did to me by not responding and ignoring requests altogether! This was a terrible learning experience.

Pros

Brand Reputation: American Express has a strong reputation in the financial industry, and it was initially a source of pride for me to be associated with such a well-known company.

Cons

Mistreatment and Threat Perception: My experience at American Express was marred by mistreatment and a pervasive sense of being treated like a threat rather than a valued employee. This was deeply demoralizing and negatively impacted my overall job satisfaction. Recruitment White Washing: The company promotes an image of diversity and inclusivity in its recruitment efforts, but in reality, it often falls short of these ideals. The recruitment process seemed more focused on creating an image of diversity rather than genuinely fostering it, leading to a lack of authentic representation among employees. Unsociable Hours: The work hours assigned to me were extremely unsociable, which made it challenging to balance my personal and professional life. This lack of work-life balance had a detrimental effect on my overall well-being. Bias and Racism: The work environment at American Express was toxic due to the presence of bias and racism. It was disheartening to witness instances where certain employees were favoured or mistreated based on factors unrelated to their job performance. This not only created a hostile work environment but also contradicted the company's stated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
