Pros

You are paid well, room for advancement, good benefits, I work in blood services and the donors are wonderful, job has a purpose.

Cons

Employees aren't disciplined for poor work ethic, being unprofessional or treating other employees poorly. You have job security because people who have been there for a long time can get away with just about anything and keep their job. Management would rather pacify you by saying they will fix something, but it never gets done. As a result, morale is poor and there is quite a bit of turnover. Work-life balance in non-existent. If I didn't have so many years invested and wouldn't take a huge cut in pay, I would have left years ago.

Volunteers free up the money for management salary bumps.

Pros

They're consolidating regions. Instead of local offices, you get an employee in one state managing a group in another state... It's been a confusing and frustrating transition.

Cons

They want all the community classes taught by volunteers who don't receive enough training or support. I'm concerned about quality.

Pros

The 2 or 3 genuine, kind hearted people I worked( out of about 30) with made the nights somewhat bearable.

Cons

You can't go to management. You are labeled a rat if you do, and it honestly doesn't get you anywhere. They do nothing about anything. Been maliciously "set up" numerous times by one employee. They did nothing, in fact backed her. Only when I screamed lawyer did they back off and leave me alone for the time being. Job is certainly not worth the mental anguish and stress on a day to day basis. They've tried to establish a union in this place several times, but most of the "sheeple" are too stupid to understand it's need and benefits.
