Pros

Bonuses and pay are extremely good for a non-profit if the territory that you get is set up to succeed. Team enviornment at the employee level and within Phlebotomists and Donor Recruitment Representatives. Great way to network and meet people in your community.

Cons

Managers and Directors are extremely out of touch with the work put in by Recruitment Reps and Phlebotomists. Employees work very long hours and often 7 days a week. Employees are expected to answer their phones and emails immediately at all hours. Directors and Supervisors cause conflicts between Phlebotomists and Recruitment Reps. Everything is about money when it should be about helping the sick. Say they believe in diversity, but they don't understand diversity.

Pros

The feeling of helping others. There are benefits, but not great if you live in Utah where the company is still not unionized. They will hire you with no experience as a phlebotomist or lab tech.

Cons

There's a good reason why in every other state but Utah, ARC is unionized. The benefits without a union rep are awful, the wages are OK. Management treats you like livestock and couldn't care less about you as a person, they see you as purely expendable. Ridiculously, 'workplace politics' hold more weight than your work, and their training program sets up their workers for failure. Their turnover rate is sickening. If you work there for a year, you will see half the staff quit from how they were treated. Se*ual harassment is not taken seriously, HR doesn't do their jobs, and there is no remediation. Whistle blowing is punished.
