      Meeting new people and the illusion of helping others.

      Cons

      Back breaking work, very low pay, no time off. RC is money driven. Over booked appointments and under staffed. Just the way they like it (more profits for them). Equipment malfunctions and the vehicles are filthy. Donor sites sometimes have no heat, mold spores, and unsanitary conditions. The whole organization is complete dysfunction which leads to extremely high turn over rates here. Good staff do not stay because of this.

      Pros

      Fantastic mission, great volunteers, wonderful opportunity to interact with other non-profits to deliver services to those in need.

      Cons

      Continual changes in policy and procedure, hiring new paid staff that have no idea what they are doing, poor management at the national level, always a reason why they can't take care of their paid staff but yet seem to find money to do their own little pet projects. Low pay, not compensated in any way for working 24/7.
