      Pros

      Mission focused, strong network throughout the country, volunteer culture, unique opportunities to serve communities in need, at the top of NGOs working in disaster relief and getting stronger at identifying and utilizing new technology (social media, virtual disaster deployments)

      Cons

      Stress between service delivery and revenue (doing more with less), work/life balance is hard to manage in a response organization and there is an expectation to be available by email 24/7

      Bogged down by bad management, no work life balance, very incompetent supervisors, place seems to be stuck in the 70's, low employee morale, sometimes it feels like colleagues are out to get you instead of work with you

      Pros

      The pay is about the only good thing here, and lots of opportunity for overtime.

      Cons

      The management doesn't do anything, and you're co-workers want all the new people to do the work, they all cut corners. It's like being in high school all over again, you have a in crowd and if you're not in it your treated like an outsider. In blood collections, you don't have a set schedule, as well as spend overnights away from your family.
