Pros

excellent staff, tremendous mission, great brand, some cutting-edge work; some engaged members

Cons

new AIUSA CEO in 2021 has no vision; race relations are terrible; board consistently oversteps and micromanages; extremely toxic relations with board and CEO overall who wield their privilege over the staff; BIPOC staff have left as a result; members are a very mixed bag - the most difficult ones have the most power and use it

Pros

You get to meet some nice people

Cons

There was a very short training and not much assistance for the newbies. They only care about signs ups and not about employees (or their human rights campaigns) which are easily replaced by next in line. Every week there was someone new and someone talented but simply unlucky that was fired. It’s all about business and not Human Rights.
