Pros

You are exposed to the inner workings of a team that thrives off of collaboration and creative grassroots techniques. Great learning experience for college students interested in fighting human rights abuses while working for an internationally recognized organization.

Cons

No pay; can be a bit disorganized, but that is bound to happen with any non-profit.

Pros

A lot of great, passionate young people; friendly atmosphere. Interns are very involved with day-to-day operations, they basically run one of the programs. Good valuable experience overall.

Cons

Gender-bias and unprofessional behavior. Departments through each other under the bus and then admitted it with no shame. They treat interns as a disposable garbage.
