Leadership leaves much to be desired

Pros

Amnesty International is, on the whole, a good organization

Cons

The Director of the DC canvass office does not lead well. She deliberately misleads canvasses to inappropriately raise funds and then fires them for it without warnings. She sends canvassers to sites that other organizations have already picked for the day. The canvassers are given minimal training at best and minimal equipment to canvass with (ie one tablet for a crew of 6, no uniforms for canvassers)

Pros

If you can upsell to random New Yorkers on the street in all weather, you will do well.It is for a noble cause.

Cons

Quick turnaround. Training too short. If you cannot sell quickly, you will be gone. There is no breathing room. Too focused on dollar amounts.
