Good colleagues, lots of work

Pros

There are genuinely good people who work here. My manager gives me a lot of flexibility around my schedule and projects. We are unionized which forces management to acknowledge us.

Cons

Some teams have entirely too much work. Since Board is elected from activist base, the Board sometimes lacks professionalism and lacks strategic vision. The perf review seems to be based on what your manager and others think of you versus what your skill and contribution are. Very little room to move up.
