Pros

Flexible work hours, some smart people, good base pay. Product had a great start given the domain and competition.

Cons

Very poor management culture. Most managers lack basic communication skills, no investment in employee development, no feedback of any kind and HR haven't taken any steps towards improving this culture. Work is good in some teams, but most don't have any quality work which is understandable since the product has matured and product management seems to have run out of ideas on new features to add. Senior management is hypocritical.

Pros

No known pros. Well, maybe the Nutella. I did like the Nutella. Pickles too. Good snacks. That sort of thing.

Cons

It's hard to know where to begin. There are deeply embedded cultural problems at the company that make it impossible to ship anything. Any talent that remains in product and eng is running for the doors. The C team is running the show, after the previous B-team execs left en masse once their golden handcuffs came off. The CEO, Danny Winokur, is totally adrift and is in over his head. Not a snowball's chance in San Francisco that this company makes it. The company reminds me of the show “Chernobyl” in terms of the lies, the lack of accountability, the technical incompetence and the meltdown for which it’s headed. Join only if you have given it your best shot in life and came up short and have just decided you don't care about where you work.

Pros

-On par with typical SaaS earnings -Great place to learn how to cold call

Cons

-Poor/Non-Existent people management -Exlusively KPI driven (KPIs developed by mature businesses from a different era) -Not at all a Silicon Valley culture. Basically like working for BMC (a very old, very un-silicon valley software company) -Culture of intimidation from the Veep downwards -Severe cronyism as everyone followed Veep from BMC -Long work hours -No social balance. You are there to make calls, bring in deals and they pay you. Any kind of enjoyment/banter is looked as taking your eye off the ball -Culture is viewed as people who work excessively hard and put AppD above all else. Consistently.
