Pros

Haven't been sacked yet.... And the office is new

Cons

No growth in the last 5 years, management takes no accountability... Promotion is based on years in industry rather capability. Poor recognition of performance. Poor working culture. Disproportionate division of company profit/bonuses...

Pros

Knowledge from others. If you are a graduate, not a bad place to kick start here. But after a few years reality will set in

Cons

Aurecon keeps changing its focus and theme till some execs themselves are confused.Having been here for years, if you have a not too bad job I can only say the grass here is denifinitely not greener.Annual employee survey speaks for itself, yet execs are still scratching their head. Come next year when new Mr Iron Fist CEO joins in, only hope is it wont get any worse for staff.Unless you are a workaholic, career advancement remains a dream.

Pros

Well intended professional values Good track history Great breadth of people and experience Wide range of projects Depth of knowledge and good access to that knowledge Good appreciation of Client mentality

Cons

Professional values normally overshadowed by financial performance Swamped by unnecessary administration Complete fixation on complex financial analysis Over-emphasis on perceived negative financial performance, little praise for positive performance Completely over-ambitious financial targets and obsession with tracking Ever-changing administrative systems which purport to assist in improving financial performance Complex management systems take overly long to complete, paradoxically at the expense of the very financial performance it was supposedly designed to improve Poor morale, lack of appreciation for basic morale boosting events Extreme tick-box mentality - management feel that systems are perfect and with strict adherence will inevitably lead to success; when this does not occur, management are perplexed and lack ideas to progress
