Good company car list, including EVs. Salary is competitive. Good colleagues and support from other engineers (not management)

Cons

There is very little if any training, which can make you feel unsafe. Traveling time is not factored into your working day, expect to travel “2-4 hours” a day unpaid. Expect unrealistic quotas that can only be achieved through working over your hours. The approach of “Empowerment” has lead to leadership being dismissive of issues raised. Leadership are unwilling to assist subordinates and understand their role and needs. No career mobility.

-terrible office politics -fake speak up culture, they say you are allowed to speak up but when you do, they retaliate using micro management and you cant proof - they prefer their own races - certain boss is culturally insensitive and yet management did not fire him

First the good. The compensation, PTO, and benefits are still good. And the front-line associates (who do the actual work and grow the company) are great.

Cons

BD is very top heavy with management. It seems everyone is some level of Director or Manager. BD claims a work life balance for employees. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Expect to work in the evenings, at night and when you’re with your family on PTO. BD is very cliquey and choice assignments or advancement could depend upon how good you are at company politicking. If you’re considering employment with BD, your biggest concern should be the constant layoffs and reorganizations. If you accept a position with BD, it would be wise to always have an updated resume and network at the ready.
