      Amazing people, a good company, decent pay

      Pros

      -The people you work with will be some of the nicest most pleasant people around. -The benefits are good - healthcare from day one (that will also pay for fertility treatments), full pay during family medical leave, if traveling you get to keep all your points and miles -can say no to weekend work and excessive work

      Cons

      -if you don't say no, you can end up with an endless amount of work that is not humanly possible to finish -there are other places you can be paid better -promotions can be political at higher levels

      Overall company was quite good. Very poor managers in recent years let them down.

      Pros

      Good products with good technical support. Good company structure, with business unit structure allowing for good customer focus.

      Cons

      Poor managers empire building, getting Direct reports to do all the work and getting all the credit. Too numbers focused, forgetting about the customer and the employees. Sydney centric organisation with all career progression focused in Sydney.

      Pros

      the overall employee benefits for BD were comparable to other companies. Also, access to certain learning/training tools and library were pretty limitless.

      Cons

      Very depreciating environment. I heard similar complaints from employees in several business units. Respect is based on title which is quite unfortunate. Often heard people yelling and cursing in the hall at other people, even getting physical. It was a ridiculous environment with a good amount of turnover. Def lacking in people skills and thrived on creating an environment of intimidation.
