Pros
Good benefits, although healthcare packages become more expensive with less coverage annually in the name of keeping with industry practices.
Cons
Stifling and Unprofessional Environment: people get angry if someone ambitious tries to drive results. They lash out and shame people who want to drive results, change and improvement that are good for the business. It seems their goal is to reduce their workload by silencing anyone trying to achieve results. Accountability and Ownership: In instances where a decision is important the discussion either circles endlessly because no one wants to make a decision and be accountable for the result, or an unqualified person with no relevant experience is at the helm and has no business making the decision. My outlook for the company is poor because of this. I've also encountered more people who spend their time finding ways to get out of owning any work than people who take responsibility for items. Blame Culture: If someone happens to make a decision and it doesn't go as planned, the blame game starts immediately and time is wasted pointing fingers instead of remedying the issue. Leaders also play "defense", preparing ways to blame other teams in advance of a problem coming to light. Silos: there are so many people with unclear responsibilities, and nothing gets accomplished. No one seems to know what the company's processes are.
