Pros

Used to provide flexibility in terms of working from home during busy season. Now it's mandatory 3 day to office and we have to clock minimum 6 hours per day.

Cons

Extreme politics and discrimination on the basis of region and high level favouritism. Baised feedback during annual performance evaluation. No additional incentive and recognition if you are a high performance. You will be preparing work papers and returns even if you are a manager. Even if a return is reviewed by a senior manager in offshore team, there are high chances an associate will review from US office due to lack in trust over the quality of work delivered from offshore team. No scope to specialize in any area. Even though US taxation is seasonal job. You will be working throughout the year with no additional benefits. People who don't reach the target hours and those who reach are treated the same during appraisal.
