Decent company to work for pre-pandemic

-Slightly above-average pay for the industry -Unlimited PTO -Opportunity to learn/grow if you work hard -Travel (pre-pandemic)

Cons

-Little to no communication since working remote made it hard to learn/be efficient -Hands-off approach from senior management when dealing with how pandemic affected work life (threw gift cards our way as a distraction only because they were saving money from employees not traveling) -Oblivious senior management (i.e., our numbers are better than ever, seems that people are being more productive with the remote environment (while they got to go to an office or had a huge home office), etc.) -Too much in-your-face social agenda that accomplished nothing

Great Benefits but Poor Communication

I came to Baker Tilly through a merger and still love the people I work with. They maintained a lot of our original companies values and overall work environment.

Cons

Communication throughout BT seems to be poor. I'm aware of people who have been let go without being put on a performance track and without any further explanation. I feel that the transition from a mid-sized company to a larger one has really caused a shift in dynamics around the office that are overall detrimental.

Pros

I've been at Baker Tilly for about 6 months now. I've been really impressed with the genuine care they have for the employees. Although I wasn't here when COVID started, I was reading some documentation on the flexibility and attention to need to focus on home life the firm gave.

Cons

No cons come to mind; sometimes long hours, but that is standard in the industry at times. Nothing more or less then what I've had at my previous firm.
