Not a good organization

Pros

IJB is a good way to get promoted.

Cons

The organisation is not very employee friendly.. the perks seem nice but the reality is harsh.. too much politics. HR department is a ghost town.. it's very difficult in this organisation to be heard. The LM is your God, no HR will help you out in any way, you won't even get to know the HR. If you question your LM, or demand your rightful appreciation and rewards, you'll be frowned upon and everyone will start framing you to kick you out of the organisation and you can't do anything... Internal promotions, forget about it. The harder you work, the less promotion you'll get.. No good projects, most of the workforce is just sitting idle or sitting on calls.

Pros

Strong Learning Experience – Barclays provides exposure to SAS, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Unix scripting, allowing employees to develop strong technical and analytical skills. Challenging & High-Impact Projects – Opportunities to work on fraud analytics, customer remediations, and reporting automation, which helped in professional growth. Decent Benefits – The company offers 401k matching, health insurance, and severance pay (though severance is taxed heavily). Talented & Hardworking Colleagues – Many employees are dedicated professionals who strive to deliver results despite poor leadership.

Cons

Toxic Leadership & Favoritism – One of the worst managers I’ve worked under. She treated employees terribly, played blatant favorites, and created a toxic work environment. Many suffered under her leadership, yet no action was ever taken. Credit Theft & Bias – Some employees were constantly given credit for others’ work, while the real contributors were overlooked. Severe Workload Imbalance – I was handling the work of 15 people for nearly a year due to high turnover and no replacements being hired. Instead of hiring more staff, management kept pushing unrealistic expectations onto existing employees. No Career Growth or Recognition – Promotions and raises were based on favoritism rather than performance. Employees who worked hard were often ignored, while managers’ favorites moved up quickly. High School Bully Culture & Silly Rules – Instead of fostering a professional work environment, some managers acted like high school bullies, playing favorites and enforcing petty, unnecessary rules to make employees’ lives harder. Unrealistic Deadlines & Constant Pressure – The manager never had realistic expectations, yet she kept shortening deadlines just to pressure the team. This created constant stress, unnecessary panic, and burnout. High Turnover Due to Poor Leadership – Employees constantly left the company, but management refused to acknowledge or fix the problem. Layoffs & Internal Hiring Corruption – After being laid off, I applied for internal roles, but none of the VPs showed respect or fairness. Many roles were pre-booked for family members or friends, making the internal hiring process a joke. Personal Vendettas in Hiring – A VP outright rejected my profile because the friend who referred me for the role had just been promoted to the same VP level. Instead of evaluating candidates based on merit, some leaders used personal grudges to block deserving employees.

Pros

- Good Salary over campus placement - Complimentary benefits - Food card, Cabs for work travel - Good place for experienced people to level up your pay scale

Cons

- Salary differs according to your College's reputation (for freshers) - No direct HR contact for employees! this gives an ultimate power to your managers and they do employees bad if they don't find a good rapport. So it depends on your luck to get a good/fair type of leader which is pitiful! - Poor work quality. meaning, the technical learning is minimum and also outdated. - Strenuous work. technical knowledge is deprived as mostly manual/non automated ways are preferred for the work. So if you are a person who is okay with just getting paid and losing touch with your skills and abilities, this place is ideal. - Hike % is below par Recommend working here for not more than 2 years - both for freshers and experienced candidates
