Toxic Leadership & Favoritism – One of the worst managers I’ve worked under. She treated employees terribly, played blatant favorites, and created a toxic work environment. Many suffered under her leadership, yet no action was ever taken.
Credit Theft & Bias – Some employees were constantly given credit for others’ work, while the real contributors were overlooked.
Severe Workload Imbalance – I was handling the work of 15 people for nearly a year due to high turnover and no replacements being hired. Instead of hiring more staff, management kept pushing unrealistic expectations onto existing employees.
No Career Growth or Recognition – Promotions and raises were based on favoritism rather than performance. Employees who worked hard were often ignored, while managers’ favorites moved up quickly.
High School Bully Culture & Silly Rules – Instead of fostering a professional work environment, some managers acted like high school bullies, playing favorites and enforcing petty, unnecessary rules to make employees’ lives harder.
Unrealistic Deadlines & Constant Pressure – The manager never had realistic expectations, yet she kept shortening deadlines just to pressure the team. This created constant stress, unnecessary panic, and burnout.
High Turnover Due to Poor Leadership – Employees constantly left the company, but management refused to acknowledge or fix the problem.
Layoffs & Internal Hiring Corruption – After being laid off, I applied for internal roles, but none of the VPs showed respect or fairness. Many roles were pre-booked for family members or friends, making the internal hiring process a joke.
Personal Vendettas in Hiring – A VP outright rejected my profile because the friend who referred me for the role had just been promoted to the same VP level. Instead of evaluating candidates based on merit, some leaders used personal grudges to block deserving employees.
