      1) Great people to work with 2) Culture is great 3) Good pay 4) Interesting work 5) Great work life balance

      Cons

      Red-tape can be a problem sometimes, especially with IT. Its about to be taken over by BlackRock so things are likely to change.

      Pros

      Overall, the people were great - very willing to help you learn and willing to give real responsibilities to interns. I liked that the program was rotational so interns maximize their exposure to the bank.

      Cons

      There are a few bad apples there and with that said, politics reigns. My advice: figure out who holds the power and be prepared to kiss ass. Also, HR is important - they have the final say in who gets summer offers so beware. BarCap says they are a meritocracy, but this is definitely not the case.

      Its a laid back job and the pay is not too bad

      Pros

      9 to 5 job. low pressure. Good colleagues. No weekend works. 40 hours a week. You have a good chance to work with front office.

      Cons

      Its very hard to move to front office once you are in IT although you have business degree. So looking at it, its kinda unfair. Promotion is not too transparent.
