Pros

- Fantastic Work/Life balance if you don't insert yourself into demanding roles - Wonderful physical work environment - Northern Illinois facilities have credit unions, laundry service, fitness center, etc. - Tuition reimbursement programs - financial support and scheduling flexibility available for higher education options - Eventually, you'll find your niche - There is a plethora of opportunities at Baxter. There are a lot of internal shift/movement opportunities for those looking to try something new without leaving the business. - Community Outreach - Baxter does a lot for the local community and cultural institutions. Baxter employees benefit from the beautiful, healthy environment and are able to enjoy perks such as free admission to many museums and gardens.

Cons

- Occasionally feel like you're pushing a rope - Upper management does not always show appreciation for hard work - "Credit" for efforts often unjustly distributed

No more communication

Pros

Pay is less than market, but not terrible.

Cons

Communication has come to a complete halt. Critical projects timelines are not being communicated and scheduling is complete mess. People who should know the status of a project are being left in the dark and then being blamed for not knowing what's going on. A lot of mandatory overtime. Lots of vile, mean spirited accusations thrown around if anything doesn't match senior leadership's expectations. No one knows what the expectations and priorities are anymore because degrading insults and accusations of failure are the only things communicated by the senior leaders.
