-Strong executive leadership that makes consistent effort to foster a healthy culture focused on client service and innovation -Generally, most at BlackRock are intelligent, talented, committed, and work together to support clients and their coworkers -Support for charitable giving and volunteerism is strong

Cons

-Leadership skills at the division level (MD) are inconsistent and your direct manager defines your experience at BlackRock. -Pay lags the market so be cautious about staying too long. -Technology architecture behind Aladdin is antiquated and it is difficult to obtain support for change due to lack of programming resources -Lack of diversity beyond the VP level -Difficult and complex promotion process at the Director and MD level -Bureaucratic

Managers are allowed to bully the staff. Fund Accounting Oversight team in Edinburgh had only one member of staff last year, everyone else had left in 2018. 2 out of the newly recruited staff have already left in 2019.
