Pros

Investment teams are very strong

Cons

Very much dependent on the part of the organization within which you work. Too political in non investment teams. Career progression is based on networking and who you know rather than competence. It is particularly a difficult place to work as a woman or minority as, despite lots of lip service, in most teams there is still a very male dominated culture. To be avoided if you are a VP or Director and a minority.

Pros

Smart people, Free snacks sometimes

Cons

All about Aladdin. You would acquire non-transferable skills especially if you are in Tech & Ops. Nasty politics on the upper level of management

Pros

Good work-life balance via leaves the company offers Good employee benefits like insurance, cab and food Brand name probably

Cons

BlackRock India is totally different from BlackRock global . BlackRock India is run by some hypocrite managers who has double standards. They tend to take things personally and doesn't heed much to the welfare of their people. I won't be wrong to call some managers as tyrants and company seems to love them. They talk ill and rude to subordinates and treat them disrespectfully. Workload is often too much in comparison to the pay on offer. Some teams may be relaxed. BlackRock India employees are discriminated by UK, US and employees from other regions. IF you have foreign counterparts then most often you will be doing leftover housekeeping tasks, they will keep the good work for themselves. Also, BlackRock preaches manager as a coach and they have policies against harassment and bullying but most often many people have been seen to leave company due to these things. Last, the company has very poor increments record. Overall, the culture of company is being driven by a select few and they have made it pathetic at present.
