Many analysts and managers are complacent with Bloomberg's current performance so any new and exciting initiatives are typically squandered for unnecessary maintenance. Most of this maintenance could be avoided if problems were addressed when found, but many of these problems just get kicked down the road. The most concerning part is this job will not teach you real-world skills. You will only learn Bloomberg specific skills and lingo that you cannot market to other companies. So if you have real career aspirations in tech be careful choosing Bloomberg.

They are hiring smart people and turning them to coding monkey. Before each software engineer had a chance to manage their own projects and came up with their own ideas to solve problems. Now, with all these agile idiotic practices, which do not fit the business, you do what you are told to do. New team leaders are doing nano-management. If you are smart, you are screwed.
