Pros

Its great to be in an area that's growing an being invested into if you're lucky enough to get there. Overall the firm does have a nice culture and there are some really experienced people that know the markets inside and help you get visibility into clients needs. Being at the centre of the financial industry has its perks in its own right.

Cons

Every decision is made at management committee level (mike and vlad) which means business are not empowered to make decisions they need at the local level and a lot of pertinent issues get lost along the way in the food chain. Some areas don't get any invested into even though they do really well and this can be frustrating. The architecture is old, lots of tech debt, slow movement in getting anything done generally. Engineering runs the place if you're in product. They don't get locked into jobs at all, can leave to a different department as soon as 2 weeks upon arrival. They start at 10 am everywhere and their choke hold over the agenda can be stifling. Some pockets of sales are really bad, they get a bit complacent and in areas they have locked in terrible people into sweet deals who seem to not get challenged.

Pros

All in a picture, nothing in reality. Very disappointed, complained to HR about my manager, they didn't even listen. From what I hear left and right, people are not happy and either actively searching for another company or thinking about that.

Cons

Pro Ukrainians, god forbid you are Russian, You are not gonna make it. They make your life miserable, very political place and nothing good about work life balance. Once Mike B. stepped out, it all started to go downhill. Bunch of trainings on harassment's, but when it comes to a real deal, all quiet like nothing happening and useless, nobody doing anything to prevent or follow up.

Pros

Stunning building and facilities, free snacks, bottomless soft drinks, Friday afternoon treats. Prestigious name, stands out on CV, opportunities to travel.

Cons

Relentless micromanaging. Mandatory hours are 08:00 to 18:00 ie ten hours a day and very closely monitored. Not participating in the company pro bono initiatives could cost you your bonus. Very low bonuses. Limited to zero opportunities for career advancement. Dictatorial in that office attendance is monitored very closely, with the threat of disciplinary action for non-compliance. Hybrid working is frowned upon; the until recently 2 days wfh were reduced to 1 overnight with zero notice, despite promises it would carry on indefinitely and will be taken away soon to return to full time in office working. Caste like promotion system.
