      Bloomberg L.P.: A great place to work

      Pros

      Great atmosphere. Smart people. Free food :) Overall Bloomberg is a great place to work at. The company does very well even in hard times.

      Cons

      Working from home is really an issue. The company wide policy is that it is allowed but certain managers dont allow it in their teams.

      Pros

      Open communication, flexible work environment on the software development side. Great offices and very good perks. Very fair (good) compensation. Startup like approach to handling new projects.

      Cons

      The work hours are fairly inflexible. Working from home is very much discouraged. The employee time tracking system is fairly annoying and there's no flexibility on the amount of holidays you take.

      Pros

      Great team culture within some of the smaller divisions. Also, lots of perks (including a summer party) and internal resources.

      Cons

      It is possible to get lost in the crowd. You spend a lot of time dealing with angry traders on Wallstreet whose terminals aren't working.
