Pros

As a company, it seems to be a decent enough place as an entry level college graduate. There are rare occasions when you will work with managers who excel in leadership, but it wont be often. Entry level salaries are competitive and there are spotty areas worth being in

Cons

There is no real push to succeed or over deliver. The US operations of CGI are a conglomerate of acquired companies which have yet to be integrated correctly. There seems to be very little internal growth and there is very high turnover for new hires. The company does a lot of its work on government contracts and has a tendency to hire large numbers of recent college grads to back fill ongoing projects to complete testing with no discernible training or advancement opportunities. No perks to speak of really, and an overall atmosphere of discontent among new hires, and an atmosphere of bureaucracy amongst management

Pros

You will have a job and work in a team most of the time. You might enjoy some freedom depending on the type of work you have and how well your boss trust you.

Cons

To get a real raise, you better save a catastrophic situation. You get treated well but mostly as a number. For some reason they don't seem to care about loosing good established employee. Sometime they won't even make a counter offer if you tell them you have been offered something better somewhere else. Seems they think a new rookie will replace you in no time even if he know nothing about the situation where your working.

Pros

Stability is the only reason to keep a job for this company, Other than that the location is good in the montreal area.

Cons

Salary is horrible, there is absoulety no incentive for working harder than your peers. You have to fight to keep your job balanced, any people that say "Yes" to management usualy end up on burn out or quit within a few months. Your just a number here and your deeds will go unnoticed. In our building your not allowed to have "jeans" day. There are no bonuses.
