Pros

Good transportation facility but you have to pay from your salary

Cons

Take home is very less since you have to enroll in Share Purchase Plan and 5% is variable The managment is very unproffesional and they don't appreciate the hard work that employees put in every day. The company has no interest in building relationships with their employees. Standard operating procedure is to hire under-qualified people as cheaply as possible and contract them out at very high rates. Once the employee gets fed up with being abused and leaves, CGI simply replaces them with the next sheep and manager says i dont care if you leave Toomuch politics is played by the manager itself Will not give hike since manager says you are paid well

Pros

Pay is pretty good, but that depends on the contract. It is possible to transfer from one location to another if you want to move somewhere else. If contracts are canceled, they will try to find somewhere else to put you.

Cons

Money is their bottom line. If the contract or money is at risk, in any way, the employee gets pushed aside. I have not experienced the flexibility in schedules that other people have. This obviously depends on the contract. The company offers no support for employees who have suffered tragedies in their personal lives, especially if the government client also does not offer support. Whatever the clent wants, the client gets even if this hurts the employee. The company will not be supportive the employee wants to file a complaint against the client. Paid time off (pto) and sick leave are the same.

Pros

They pay you for coming to work, that's about it.

Cons

I was brough onboard with CGI after being a temp for about 2 years. I thought it would be a step ahead to be a permanant employee, it's not. I took a paycut (which wasn't expected, but that is tolerable). The onboarding process is absurd. The online portals you have to use are the most user-UNfriendly modules you have ever attempted to access. It takes a solid 2 weeks to correct any of the mistakes as far as PTO and payroll goes. You don't get reviews OR pay raises. This is a deadend company to work for. I have heard good things about CGI in the public sector, but if you accept a position under CGI-Federal, you will regret accepting this job.
