Pros

It's easy to make friends and great if you considered to be a part of the "in-crowd". If you like happy hours multiple times a week and spending a ton of time with your coworkers outside of work just to get ahead and be recognized for your contributions, then you'll love it here.

Cons

Fraternity/sorority-like culture. If you're not a young, good-looking, single, white socialite, then good luck making a successful long-term career. And forget up-ward progression. EOY calibrations are a joke.

Pros

I have worked with Capital One for many years now, started out as a associate on the phones and worked my way up to management. They really do have a great culture, management tries to make it fun and the benefits are great. 12 weeks PAID maternity leave, there is paternity leave that can be split up as you want, insurance is good, 3 weeks vacation starting out and you earn more the longer you stay.

Cons

As with every job you have politics, it is all about who you know. If you work for this company make sure you network and DO NOT burn bridges. The Home Loans side has org changes often and have had reduced headcount and increased headcount countless times. The Auto side is a much more stable side of the business. Pay for the tenured associates is on the low end, so for anyone coming in new they typically make more starting out than someone who has been in the role for example 2-3 years.

Pros

Great company culture Really care about their employees and customers Great benefits A lot of room for advancement, several career paths Tuition Reimbursment

Cons

Don't pick the right people managers all the time. Go off of performance instead of ability to actually manage others.
