      Pros

      Good company to work for, treat employees well with lots of opportunities for training, learning, etc, good benefits and salary. Gives the chance to do interesting work in the financial services sector while being in a more laid-back environment with good work-life balance

      Cons

      Company is very large which has its benefits, but also means that analysts at times can feel like 'one cog in the machine' and that their work has very little impact because it is only one part of one project for one segment, etc.

      Pros

      Capital One is a great company to work for and like other companies has its own share of challenges. It has a rigorous interview process that is designed to select associates that like most likely thrive in its unique culture. Company pays fairly as compared to comparative positions. Associates are given good opportunities to make an impact on company's goals which often includes contributing to big complex projects. Leadership is very approachable also facilitated by open seating environment. Overall good work environment.

      Cons

      Career growth is challenging as promotions are super slow. There is also disparity in how company treats and rewards analysts vs. non-analysts (almost feels like class system). Associates new out of grad schools and at entry level positions have faster growth path there by "clogging" at mid level management positions which is likely to worsen as overall company growth slows down.

      Pros

      The money was good and you get a chance to work with the public. At the time it seemed like a job that offered advancement opportunities.

      Cons

      Behind all the smiles and gimmicks, there is nothing more than ruthless business that takes place. a lot of talking behind peoples back takes place.
