Pros

The benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k match, life insurance options, stock purchase options, EAP, while stupid expensive, are really fantastic if you use it often (chronic illness, kids braces, etc)

Cons

The performance management song and dance happening twice a year is a nightmare for both individual contributors and mid level managers. You’re told that the rating you give your directs is your decision (even after sr. mgmt tells you exactly who you will be giving the below strong ratings to) Does that sound like you have a choice? It’s up to you to roll the dice and find out. I’ll save you some time, if you fight for your direct’s rating with a differing opinion from sr levels, the choice is taken and made for you, all while plans are set in motion to manage you out. So, if you’re comfortable letting your direct line mgmt think for you in turn you behave as if you’re their puppet, all while taking on the accountability of their decisions from levels both above and below…this will be the perfect place for you.

Pros

the only pro was the job was remote

Cons

so much toxicity, internal misogyny, gaslighting, and dishonesty at the manager level in this company. managers should sincerely be reported for ethics violations and bullying - didn't do so in fear of backlash. a lot of unfair accommodations made for employees who were parents.

Pros

-TDP program is great for straight out of college hires -Use modern tech stack with modern processes -Generally pretty nice people and environment in the office but this can vary based on where you end up, some teams and leaders are toxic or just plain bad at leadership

Cons

-Culture has shifted to start imitating Amazon more and more in all the bad way, less benefits, less money spent on employees, tighter deadlines, regular layoff cycles -If you aren't a manager or a recent grad, avoid this place. TDPs get preferential treatment and will likely get paid more than you even if you are a more senior position. -Started as remote optional, than 50% of the days in office, now 3 days in the office minimum, wouldn't be surprised if it becomes 5 days mandatory soon. - If you are not self motivated, this environment is not for you. They don't hold your hand at all, and this will prevent you from promotions. - Promotions are rare even for good performers
